The Homeless Connect Perth project is about providing a “one stop shop” of services to homeless persons or those at risk of homelessness by bringing together community groups, businesses and the three tiers of Government to provide services for a day.
Homeless Connect Perth was established to provide homeless individuals with a step on the path out of homelessness and provides a unique opportunity for the community to participate in offering assistance to people experiencing homelessness.
Volunteering WA, in partnership with the City of Perth, has now organised Homeless Connect projects each November since 2008.
Over the Years
Homeless Connect is an Australia-wide project that has been running in Perth for seven years.
The most recent Homeless Connect event held in Russell Square Northbridge attracted over 1000 people.
Food, clothes, toiletries, toys and a large range of services were volunteered to provide the city's homeless with a one-stop-shop for everything they needed plus a little bit of pampering.
