National Science Week

National Science Week (11-19 August) is Australia's annual celebration of science and technology.

It provides an opportunity to celebrate the contributions Australian scientists make to the world of knowledge. It also aims to build knowledge and interest in science pursuits for the public, and encourage younger people to become fascinated by the world we live in.

This year's theme is Game Changers and Change Makers.

From our pioneering discoveries 50 years ago, to our interests in today's emerging hydrogen economy, Woodside and our collaboration partners continue to think big, prototype small and scale fast to bring change - to our business, and our industry.

Science and technology give us the tools to do this. As the pace of change speeds up, our Compass value of Excellence and the spirit of curiosity and discovery are the constants that guide us.

But we're not just in it for ourselves. Woodside proudly supports a number of science-based organisations and community programs across the areas of education, environment and technology. These collaborative partnerships harness science and innovation to build knowledge and create opportunities for the broader communities in which we live and work.

Through Woodside's community partnerships, there are some great activities happening across National Science Week and beyond:
