Woodside and Clontarf annual Gaelic football match

On Wednesday 14 October, a team of Karratha-based Woodside employees pulled on their footy boots and took to the field to contest the annual Clontarf Woodside Gaelic Football Match.

The slightly older and slower Woodside players faced off against a group of talented young men from the Karratha Clontarf Academy, who certainly had the superior foot speed and talent to boot.

The match was a close affair and won in overtime by a resurgent Clontarf team who fought back gallantly in the second half.

The match is growing in popularity each year and provides a great opportunity for the Woodside and Clontarf players to get to know each other in a competitive but fun environment.

The Fremantle Dockers Community Goals team returned to support the match for another year, bringing its popular Purple Playground, including the super goals, vertical leap test and handball target practice, along for families to enjoy.

Dockers TV also filmed the match for the first time this year.

Woodside is Major Sponsor and Indigenous Program Partner of the Fremantle Dockers.
