Woodside's Karratha Community Liaison Group (KCLG) recently had the unique opportunity to view turnaround and refurbishment works underway on LNG Train 4 at the Karratha Gas Plant (KGP).
The KCLG is made up of Woodside's key stakeholders in the City of Karratha and meets quarterly to discuss issues of mutual interest.
Members of the group were able to walk the full length of LNG Train 4 and get up close and personal with critical equipment shut down for planned maintenance.
The works the group saw first-hand formed part of an unprecedented period of activity across the Woodside-operated North West Shelf Project in April, May and June 2016.
A number of highly-complex, integrated maintenance programs were undertaken both onshore at KGP and offshore at the North Rankin Complex, Goodwyn A platform and Angel platform with the aim of continuing safe and reliable production from the North West Shelf Project for years to come.
All works were completed on schedule and without any recordable injuries.
